Submission Guidelines
Submission Approval Process:
Please note that your event submission will go through an approval process, which may take up to 5 business days. This ensures that it aligns with our calendar’s criteria and contains all necessary information.
The Events Calendar Editor will assess each submission, focusing on events of interest to tourists visiting Butte County. If your event isn’t approved, you will receive a notification.
Please ensure you are submitting your event with proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Please review the image guidelines section to ensure you are submitting the proper format of images.
Editing and Removal:
Butte365 reserves the right to edit or remove listings, artist profiles, or images without prior notice to the event submitter. While these guidelines outline our criteria for acceptance, the final decision rests with Butte365.
Content Standards:
Inclusiveness: Butte365 listings and profiles do not discriminate based on factors such as race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or political point of view.
Content: We highlight arts, cultural, and recreational events in Butte County, with a focus on visitor-serving experiences.
Events unlikely to be approved include but are not limited to:
Responsibility: Butte365 accepts event listings with content up to a “PG-13” level.
Tolerance: We do not accept event listings featuring slurs, epithets, or hateful comments.
Consideration: Events listed should be open to the public, community-minded, and focused on Butte County, adhering to these guidelines.
Location and Timing:
Location: Butte365 currently features events based in Butte County. Online events must be organized by Butte County-based organizations.
Lead Time: After approval, events and artist profiles should be posted within 3-4 business days. We recommend submitting your event listing at least two weeks before the event for visibility.
Review Process:
Butte365 may edit graphic images and submissions for grammar, style, and accuracy, presenting them in the third-person narrative.
Public Events and Images:
Public Events: All event listings must be open to the public; invitation/member-only events won’t be accepted.
